1956 Aerial Photograph - Marlton Nike Base Launch Area
In this aerial view, taken soon after the base was put into operation, we can see the area around the launchers was still grass surrounded by asphalt loops with connections to the elevators. Later this area was paved, with a concrete strip added under the launch rails. There is a missile on the launcher above the bottom elevator door that shows up on this picture.
